Jacques - Spyro Reignited Trilogy
Jacques looked pretty tame in the original spyro of the dragon. They never thought he's a crazy Jack in The Box Monster with knife-sharp teeth and needle-shaped eyes. Thank God, thanks to Spyro Reignited Trilogy, the Jacques introduces as he should be as he should be, even in a phase surrounded by Lava, which is appropriate to an old hell.
Mr. X - Resident Evil 2
The original of Mr. X looked a bit chubby, which was more due to the technology of that time. Although the tyrant could be threatening, his overall appearance did not really reflect that. Cut to Resident Evil 2 on platforms of the current generation on which Mr. X is a direct animal that passes on zombies, resolutely handed around and pack Leon or Claire on the neck to pop on the ground. And who can forget it to push the destroyed helicopter aside as if it were nothing? Or his chic hat?
Gravemind - Halo 2: Jubilee
Gravemind was designed to look overwhelming and scary but still to react intelligently. The encounter with Master Chief and the Arbiter in the original version of Halo 2 makes it more like an extraordinary life form appear as a simple monster. Of course, Halo 2 Anniversary decided to increase the nightmare quotient, whereby Gravemind's total form became much more apparent, but also wet. And just wait until it opens your mouth.
Kraid - Metroid: Zero Mission
Do you remember the first time when you fought against Kraid in Metroid on the NES? Well, probably not given that it was over 30 years ago. But at that time he was just a little guy who suited to Samus, size (which was not that big too). In Metroid: Zero Mission has done Nintendo something brilliant: Kraid was greater. How crazy big, cover half the screen with its massive scope. The spines that escape from his stomach holes are now far more conspicuous. It can be coarser or not as it sounds.
The Moon - The Legend of Zelda: Majoras Mask 3D
You would not believe that the moon could look even insanity than in The Legend of Zelda: Majoras Mask, but boy, greet you, Nintendo surpasses the expectations. At the 3DS remake, the moon has a much more pronounced and fuller nose, bigger eyes and clearer teeth. Perhaps more important is that his expression is even twisted and crazier, because when they are a huge moon that crashes against Hyrule, sometimes problems occur.
Marx - Super Smash Bros. Ultimate
Marx, winged shape in 3D has something that makes you only worrying. Compared to his boss fight in Kirby Super Star Ultra, who still looks pretty innocent, feels his Super Smash Bros. Ultimate version. Maybe it's the nature-friendly, non-blinking eyes or the big creepy smile. Oh and there are a few sticky parts that are freely exposed when splitting into a black hole. Pleasure.
Zeta Metroid - Metroid: Samus returns
In the original Metroid 2: Return of Samus for Game Boy, the Zeta Metroids were pretty disgusting, but also small and somehow sweet. So why not increase your size, extend your limbs and turn them into the right horror monster in the remake? That's exactly what happens in Metroid: Samus Returns and the experience is all the more terrible.
Black Tiger - Resident Evil HD Remaster
At the Resident Evil HD Remaster, everything is not right on the Black Tiger. It behaves much more realistic than just approaches one as in the PS One version. You can see the twitch of the mouth and the small coat in much more fines. Luckily it is not so hard to beat, so you can leave it much earlier.
Poppet and Reagan - Conker: Live and Reloaded
The concept of poppet and Reagan involves an innocent little bunny girl who was experimented and became a hand puppet fused with a huge bear with mechanized spider legs. She even turns the classic 360-degree head before she shows her true shape with Reagan. In the live and reloaded version, not only poppets eyes are so easy bloodshot, but also the seams on Reagan are much clearer. Long speech short sense, there are literally bad news for bears (and rabbits).
Yawning - Resident Evil HD Remaster
Similar to Black Tiger Yawn is lifferent in remake. As such, the way his body is meandering and pulsating, disgusting enough. Then it reveals his multi-pointed mouth and tries to peel the head. Nah. In contrast to Black Tiger, Yawn is not limited to a room for his boss fight, but pursues you through the halls.
Giant Polar Bear - Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy
Not to be confused with polar, the adorable little polar bear that helps crash out. This huge polar bear will pursue our hero in Cortex Strikes Back relentless. While the original looked frightening in a potato-lovely manner, realism in Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy is still much further enhanced. It is sufficient to say that crash's horror is completely comprehensible, especially considering how tremendous and sharp these teeth are.
Stained Glass Demon - Medievil
Another consequence of the then technology was that the Stained Glass Demon from Medievil looked more like a glassy hiking racket. His movement was stilted, and the lower resolution meant blurred textures. In the PS4 remake, however, the demon gives us green goblin vibrations, which move more clearer than ever from one side to another with every detail. It's creepy, but also looks a lot of cooler.
Genius - The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening
Although we doubt that Nintendo is aiming for a pure pennywise adaptation, the genius in the link's awakening-remake is definitely "gruseliger clown" than the normal clown (unless they belong to the category "All clowns are scary"). The fullness of the details could be made responsible. Or maybe it's just how disturbing this tongue looks in 3D. Or the eyes. Kill it or something with fire.
